Government sites over running first page

Anyone else noticing this within their niche? Government sites went from 2 on the first page to now 5 and pushing me down the listing.
Could this have anything to do with the election? I doubt it but maybe someone has some thoughts on that.

I've noticed this myself. It's really annoying and seems foolish because most gov sites aren't at all helpful.

Yeah, I've noticed this. I think it does have something to do with the election.

I sell a service but it is regulated by the government. The gov sites have always been there but in the last couple weeks they have been taking over the front page.
