Government Owned Proxy Lists - Beware!

When using a proxy server, many people will simply go to a website that has a database, pick out one that works, and then go about their business. What they don't know is that there are thousands of proxies out there which are run by the United States government. Using these proxies will reveal your true IP to ?big brother.? All of the proxies listed are being constantly monitored by the government. This list is not meant to scare, but to inform.

So if this is the case how can you be absolutely sure ANY ip isn't intercepted or hosted by the nazi's?
 
Time to start using proxies outside the US. It's not like they can court order an ISP in another country.
 
True online anonymity is a total myth, and hasn't existed for at least the past 3-5 years, and more likely was eliminated around 2002 by your friends at the Justice Department/Pentagon/FBI/CIA.

Anyone who doesn't think that's enough resources to track the net has their head buried in the sand. If anyone's wondering why nobody does anything, it's because most of what y'all are doing isn't actually illegal. It's just wrong.

And those of you who are doing the illegal shit, and continue to get away with it - it's because nobody with money gives a shit about it.

That's all folks. Big brother knows who every single person using this site is - no matter where they are in the world, or how they got here.
 
agreed...never assume you're truly hidden under proxies. Big brother is always watching whether we realize it or not

No not quite, CubaJohnny one of the main admins got busted and to save his own ass he handed over the private SC VPN. The Secret Service monitored/controlled it for about 6 months building a case, everyone connected through it to do business believing Johnny still owned it and it wasn't storing logs.

Time to start using proxies outside the US. It's not like they can court order an ISP in another country.

The above one was in Russia and the US snagged it, also they could just buy a box in any DC with a C block of IP's and wait for you to connect.

Also if anyone is using UltraSurf, uninstall it and delete it completely off your system asap.

I stand corrected then. Though when I posted that I was thinking of the fact that by simply using a proxy (that was obtained without the knowledge of the owner of the system) you are breaking the law by unauthorized access of a computer system.
Now that I'm getting into using proxies this is something that concerns me.
In your example, evidence of a crime was collected in another country whereas what concerns me is the location of the "crime" (unauthorized access of a computer system)

In that case it can get a bit murky, for example the IP/Proxy may be in Sweden but owned by a US company. Since you are illegally accessing the infrastructure owned by a US business it can still open up civil/criminal action. Also your still using your US ISP's network to illegally access a server.

So just using offshore proxies doesn't guarantee anything. The thing with proxies though is they won't bother if you use it for something trivial. It's what you do and the info you pass through it you need to be cautious about.

Just get a Slovakian Proxy...there's no american government there =P
Or russian...or something like that
 
There was some program I used to use that would redirect all IP, (all ports), through a socks server or even several socks servers. I had the crack and program but I think a VPN connection would put all ports of the IP packet through the VPN as well.
So, here is what you do, get a VPN in some other country, http://hiderefer.org/?http://vip72.com/VPN/ then use that to do all your stuff, with proxies, etc, etc, through..
Ya, it will be slow.
Or, get a local VPN here in the usa, use a friends :D credit card to buy it, and change every month.
Personally, (I hope), all my shit is legit and although I may help load the gun and teach people how to shoot, I never pull the trigger myself.;)
