One of our BHW YouTube views provider Skittles website ViralSocials.com got hacked on August 10th.

When I tried to log in to my account it was saying account attached with this email doesn't exist, yesterday. I soon contacted the support team on Skype and they said their website got hacked and database was deleted. Today, when I went to their website I saw this :

Important Update: August 10,2013 We regret to inform everyone that ViralSocials was hacked this morning. All of our information was taken from our DataBase - We are waiting for a solution from our developers.

Customer's sensitve information is not compromised - all payment details are securely handled by 2checkout.

Anyways, hope everything will be alright.

Such a weird time to happen as I just made my very first order a few hours before this happened. Just my luck. Feel sorry for the guy and hope this gets sorted out.

Ouch, that sucks. Good luck resolving everything Skittles.

Yeah... My first guess based on the that if this is accurate, is that since they apparently admitted over support and a redirect notice, is that there was likely unexcrypted\non-hashed\salted pwords along with it in one of their tables.

I doubt this is factual, as if this happened they wouldn't admit liability or incompetence, and if they did, it should have been a typical copy and paste PR spin with as a precaution, if you have used this password with any of your other accounts, please change it immediately.

Its for this kind of things that i never use the same password anywhere...

On both ends. It would have been smarter to compromise the host and edit the log(s) attempting to leave it as it were after transferring the data.

Deleting it afterwards makes very little sense at all. If it weren't that simple, there would have been at least an individual boasting that the site got fucked, if not giving acknowledgement to a group.

It was probably someone who had access to the db through work, got pissy and did it.
