I don't honestly know what to do!
I have an account focusing on a specific celebrity, which I'm not going to mention so people do not dig and find my account. It is the third largest (in terms of followers) account about this person (excluding the official account). I have right now 33,4k followers. Growing in average of +230 followers per day. This rate was much better a few weeks ago, like ~300-400 new followers a day.
Engagement is pretty decent. I post one picture every 1 or 2 days, I know exactly what type of pictures will go past 1,2k likes, and the ones which will stay around 900-1,2k likes. Some average between 700-900 likes. Comments really do not have an average, there are posts with 40 comments and posts with 2 comments, but with similar number of likes.
The thing is, I have no clue how to profit off of it. This celebrity is a musician, and she is not on tour right now nor with new music out in the market. I know there is space for growth, her official account has between 4-7 million followers (sorry not wanting to let anyone discover who it is), the biggest "fan" account on IG is not regularly updated and has 150k followers, the second biggest has 85k followers and then the next in line is mine with 33,4k, there is one account that is coming at me, it was at 26k followers like a week ago (I was at 30k) and we exchanged shoutouts, this account really benefited, it is now at 32k and I saw no boost in my followers... This acc actually seems to have a larger number of fake followers, because, at least compared to mine, their engagement (in terms of likes) is really inferior.
My account looks really good, from a real, human, non-profitable looking, fan-dedicated, point of view.
Anyway, I've tried offering paid shoutouts to the gazillion accounts dedicated to this celebrity with under 20k followers, absolutely no one wanted one (they wanted a shoutout, but a free one). I didn't even mention prices, all neglected. Over 1k DMs were sent.
I'm not sure what kind of monetization could be done.
It has an accompanying website, which registers between 100-150 unique visitors a day, mostly do come from Instagram, as it was the platform I used to promote this site, and traffic picks up when there's something new, as I post it on IG and tell people to go to the site. Site has adsense, but with this number of visitors, you can imagine how little profit it makes.
Anyone has ideas?
Offering shoutouts to a broader niche? I mean, out of the specific singer and maybe to accs with similar pop music content? Or 33k is just TOO little for shoutouts, even if it is for a low price? Trying to push CPA offers? Any idea??
