Got starched on the google updates, hence the username.

Long-time lurker, but decided to participate more now goog and reddit put the hammer down on me

Yep know also some friends who got the same hammer, in one case it was because some of the backlinks became toxic with the new update, blocking them helped

Interesting, by blocking, does that mean doing a disavow?

That would be the easiest way from my knownledge you could also do it over other ways in a pseudo way by denying the IP Adresses from those Websites (to my knownledge).
But I would stay with the official Google Docs (best choice imo) or to tutorials on youtube for example.
