Got scammed for $9

Some lowlife kiddo contacted me on TG for a WTB thread I posted, offered a good deal, I did not bother to make any due diligence for just $9, sent him/her the cash and they celebrated afterwards harder than a Cristiano Ronaldo goal on the Champions League final. They are trying to make new accounts to do the same again now.

I'll tell you what kiddo. Contact me here on this thread publicly so people see who you are and then PM me a crypto address and I'll send you another $9. I bind by my word if you do that.

in a third world country it can fetch you a nice royal one time meal. I am not trying to be racist here.
 
You need to do your due diligence before you spend a cent, not just for your protection, but because this little incident may have given a kid the incentive to make scamming a full time gig.

In a country like India, or Nepal 9$ can buy you a plate of butter chicken, rice, coke, and a small desert. Even though where I live I can get myself a McDonald's burger for 9$ but there are countries where 9$ can buy 1 proper meal in a nice restaurant.
 
So you bought something to someone who wasn't a Jr Vip? Or was he? If he wasn't, that's a big no no, and against the rules. You must protect yourself before anyone can protect you.
 
The kid can now flex on FB to his mates "winning at life rn just made 9 bucks online".
