Got scammed at the ebay how to proceed ?

Purchased a sandisk extreme micro sd card from 22$

The card arrived however it is fake

it has 10mb write speed and 2mb read speed also it is not 64 gb as proposed - it is not working data get corrupted

How can i proceed ? Opened dispute at paypal

What else i can do ? purchased it from ebay - under buyer protection

Just report it to eBay. Think it says "Problem with this transaction" or something.

We're sorry there's a problem with this purchase. Unfortunately, PayPal reports that we can't open a return for this item. You can try to work out this problem by contacting the seller.

You did contact the seller to ask for a refund first?
 
- Did you contact the seller?
- You can open case with either eBay or PayPal but not both at the same time.
- Have the seller respond to PayPal case?
- How good is the seller feedback on eBay?
- If you already open with PayPal, just go in the case detail and provide all false information about the item, take screen shot of reading/writing speed, volume capacity....

Yep thats exactly why. Will have to wait longer since you went that route.

You are working the system backwards if you open a claim then contacting the seller. You didn't give the seller a chance to work with you to resolve the problem as ebay suggests. Its better to contact the seller for refund prior to opening a return or claim. Sellers are easier to work with when you don't file a claim then contact them. If you open a claim then contact the seller you are setting up the wrong tone to begin with and should expect the same tone in return if the seller can't maintain their cool. For this specific situation, I think they will be cool because its a fake/counterfeit item and they don't wouldn't want to bring any heat to their account.

It still didn't justify them selling you a fake sd card. However, most memory cards on ebay are fake since 2000. A lot of buyers don't realize it until after they left a positive feedback and realize they can't load more than 25% of what was advertised.

1 : did not waste time 100% scammer seller
2 : not yet probably he won't even reply paypal dispute
3 : just a newbie seller but sold items over 100 because his deal was so good
4 : already started to get negative as being fraud but i see many people are not able to detect cards are fake - it requires some knowledge to test
5 : awaiting seller response at paypal but i am ready to provide everything they ask

well the seller is 100% fraud
also account was newbie nothing established

however what you said makes sense

though i am still pretty confident seller wouldn't even respond since i am pretty sure his whole aim was getting away with as much as money
 
you can report it as an item as not described or arrived damaged or something along these lines, you can see the option when you are there (you can't report it as not arrived - that would be the most simple way- because if there was tracking, the seller can prove, that you received it)
make screenshots of the writing and reading speeds of the flash drive (there are tools to measure this, google it), also the capacity if it's smaller than advertised and attach those to the claim
but are you aware that those advertised speeds are just theoretical maximums and you won't get those IRL?
 
You will get your money back for sure. I know you are mad because wasting your time with this scammer. I always check seller feedback before buy anything on eBay. 100-200 feedback doesn't mean that is s real seller.

You have nothing to worry about you rule the world of eBay when your the buyer.

more than likely it wouldn't worth it, unless the seller covers the shipping or you're in the same country as the seller or very close to it, for instance if you're planning to ship from USA/EU to Far East (i'm assuming that's the place of origin, most of these fake flash drives come from there), the cost can easily exceed the worth of the item, but you can always check the rates with your postal service or courier services

ye i have to go to the postal service

i live in Turkey and i have to post to China

probably wont worth it
 
This is the reason why I never buy micro sd cards on ebay. I remember seeing a 128 gb 10 class micro sd for 9.99 on ebay. Saw about 300 sold, which is about 300 scammed.

well it is definite for sure

anyway i got my money back but i had to about 2.4$ to ship it to china at my postal service
