Got My First Over The Phone Client!

I'm normally the type of guy who hides behind my computer, never talking to people on the phone, or meeting in person.

I've been doing various freelance work for clients, Only talking to them via email.


I had a prospect who was interested in my services, but wanted to talk on the phone. I was deathly afraid of the idea of talking to someone about business on the phone. I'm not the worlds best at what I provide, so trying to talk to someone on the phone about helping grow their business scared the SHIT out of me.

Anyways, long story short, I grew a pair of balls. It was nothing short of amazing. I ended up upselling the chick 5X the amount she wanted to pay. And Its a monthly plan.

I was so nervous and scared, but I took a leap of faith and closed the deal. I've since placed a phone number on my websites and I will continue to push myself to get out of my comfort zone.


If you take only one thing away from this thread, it should be to push yourself. Get out of your comfort zone. If you want something go and get it. quit being a bitch!

Nice man that's great news. I use to be afraid to talk business over the phone too. Then I did it a few times and now it's natural to me. And the first time I got a deal over the phone it wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined it being.

It's crazy the ridiculously frightening scenarios our brains come up with to mindfuck us lol.
