Just got one of my accounts banned, not completely sure of the exact reason and that's why I'm here. Help me figure it out so I don't fuck up again in case I get it back.

What I used:
- Massplanner on VPS 24/7 (450-500 follows a day, massplanner set to work for 24 hrs each day, also have another account on this same VPS on the same IP that got password reset today as well, but no ban)
- Gramblr on personal PC (uploaded content through this program)
- Instagram app on iPhone

The account was 1.5 weeks old. Started off with following around 300 a day, then raised it to 400-500. The content for this account was taken from other sites except for videos, those I stole from other instagram accounts.

I suspect multiple reasons for ban. 1st is that I was using gramblr on personal PC that has a different IP address from my VPS with massplanner. 2nd is that I was reposting videos from other accounts without changing md5 hash. What do you guys think?

I already contacted instagram about my account getting "hacked", hopefully they eat the story and give it back. What should my next steps be once I get it back? I'm planning to give it a 1-2 day rest and then start following about 300-350 a day. Plus, I'll start changing the hash of my content.

3 IPs logging in simultaneously. One of the IPs botting 24/7. 2 week old account.

Yeah, you deserved that ban.

My other account has been running on that setup for 2 months, worst I ever got was password reset. And the phone and the PC have the same IP, I don't login on the phone when I'm outside.

What is the point of that what you call "Massplanner"?

This one seems the most obvious to me. I've had two accounts banned because of this. I know this is the exact reason since I on both those accounts had uploaded the same photo to other accounts in the past, before I got really into the IG game. I got both of them back by responding to their automatic email with a photo of me and a code.

It sounds like it could be the same reason for you.

what do you mean? If you're asking why I don't use massplanners' posting feature, that's because it costs money and my VPS has a bandwidth cap

I think you quoted the wrong part. I think that this is the reason as well. The videos I steal from other accounts are old, but I'm also sure that I'm not the only person who reuploads those videos without changing the hash. In addition, the source I use for the rest of my content for this account is used by other insta accounts too. What I'm confused about is that my other account on the same setup has gotten its password reset literally 4-5 hours before my other account got banned. Maybe its a coincidence, but I'm not sure

You can try justify it. However, the fact you got a password reset is evidence enough that IG flagged that behaviour before.

It did it again, and this time decided to ban you.

500 follow daily on a brand new account? C'mon...pretty high!

really? I was told that it was a pretty safe number to go for... will lower it to 350-400 on my other account as well, just to be safe. What do you think about me using gramblr on the PC with 1 IP and using massplanner on VPS with different IP? Again, I was told that it was a no big deal since both of these programs emulate the phone app

To anyone doing IG, old or new; you need to understand that no human is on 24/7. Please, we know about brands, PRs and huge accounts that have 3-20 people on it at all times, all over the world; unless you're a brand, PR or have a huge account, you don't fit this bill.

So, if anyone tries to be on, specially botting, for 24/7, IG will ban your account sooner or later.

You have to be smarter than IGs algorithm.

Mad setting. 3 different IPs and an instagram account of 2 weeks that on 24hrs, never offline/logout. What a clear cut example of botting.

The following setting was TOO aggressive. The content was repetitive. Easy detect for IG

Real slow 100 a day im doin. Till 500. Then un follow at the same. Been banned.

the setting is set to work for 24 hours each day/night, but the whole follow cycle actually finishes in 7-9 hours. After that the program just waits until 12 AM hits

The cycle is finished but read the activity log, you are still logged in.

Which is why you are still 24/7 on IG

you're right. Would MP stop logging in to my account if I change the time from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM (24 hrs cycle) to smth like 12:00 AM to 12:59PM. Would the account be left alone between 1:00PM and 11:59 PM?

Yes, sorry I meant to quote the part about re-uploading already used material.

Instagram I think detected the different IPs that's why. Be careful the next time.
