I'd like to say all those people who claim a link from DMOZ is worthless are, with all do respect, idiots.
Yeah I am a DMOZ editor too (don't ask I won't help you get a link. Become an editor yourself you lazy bastards).
You simply do not know what you are talking about. The value of a link from anywhere depends on your anchor text. If your anchor text is bad, as it is for 99.9% of the links at DMOZ, then it has little value. If you have the right anchor you will see a big boost.
Further more while DMOZ may be a trusted domain, but what is the most trusted domain in the world?
I'll give you a minute.
