What should I do guys?
Very hard to read so I quoted it for you.
If it was me and the email looked to be from a genuine source then Id take off what they request but not respond to the email at all. Depends how well hidden you think you are i guess. Did you copy/paste that from their email, there's typo's in it. Be sure its not a competitor messing with you before complying.
reply with this
just shutdown your site or move your server to offshore company..
"You guys were idiots for getting rid of Arrested Development" should be the only reply Fox gets.
My reply would be: Go to hell.
Move to offshore and keep doing what you do.
Wasn't there a whole thing where people send a letter pretending to be from a media company and then say that you're going to be sued for $1,000,000 or something but if you work with them they'll settle out of court for only $500, so you pay them the $500 and they go away, but the whole thing was a lie and they didn't work for the company and there was never any danger of a lawsuit, anyway?
People were doing that with porn downloads. They'd be like "you downloaded some copyrighted porn, you're going to be sued" and then offer to help you out for a small fee. Completely fake.
If you copy and pasted that, all I can say is the email is bollocks, unless FOX employ people who have very little English grammar skills.
Well there is no way to know if it is really FOX or not, it could be your competitors trying to get you to remove the site, but to be safe I would at least move the site somewhere other than the U.S, or just take it down, or risk being in the headlines. You know what you have to do, I would get on it!, but if it's not FOX and you contact the real FOX back about the matter you will be alerting them to your presence.
