got accepted into my first CPA network

This is the first time I've ever tried cpa and i got accepted by adscend media and they asked what type of offers I would like to promote. I've noticed that alot of people start out with simple email/ zip submits but the payout is low.

Is starting out with pin confirms too much to ask for a newbie???

No its not too much. If your traffic better suits pin submits then go for it!

BTW, if you tell them you prefer to promote pin submits, it doesnt mean you only promote them! you will still have access to all there other offers.

There is no reason you cannot invest in others on the side. You can run the same offer for different media as well. Good luck with your conversions.

Adscend is an incentive network, that's why payouts there are lower than others. What niche is your site about?
