For anyone running affiliate or ad campaigns — I’m wondering:
Which works better for you, mobile proxies, datacenter, or residential IPs?
And does the GEO (like ,Rusia , Brazil, India, etc.) actually make a big difference?

The best one usually depend on the platform, your setup, or what you intend to achieve exactly. For automation, high load functions, account farming, "serious use", you'll need mobile proxies. Residential proxies are generally good all around, not as robust as mobile proxies for certain tasks like heavy automation but deffo enough for more basic browsing, scraping, etc. Datacenter is good for testing stuff out, real cheap but you burn through them real fast. Good for scraping but not for farming account trust or account longevity. Personal rule of thumb and such.

1. For anti-detect both mobile and residential are fine. Keep in mind that mobile are always rotating, so it possible to get bad IP in the middle of setting up campaign. Residential are also rotating but much less frequently and there is often an option to keep them alive for even longer. Also residential are more often in blacklists (including non-public). Datacenter is not suitable for ads at all.
2. GEO is extremely important. Pick for your billing information.

Residential proxies are the most reliable option for ad and affiliate work since they offer strong trust, stable sessions, and clean IP reputation. Datacenter proxies can also work well for testing, fast scraping, and low-cost campaign checks thanks to their speed and affordability.

And yes—GEO matters. Always match the proxy location to your billing details and target audience for the best results.

Thanks for chiming in, chatgtp.

"and clean IP reputation." It has been a couple years since that was the case

It really depends on your goals. Residential proxies offer the best balance—they’re versatile and less likely to get blocked. For social media management, mobile proxies are ideal because they closely mimic real users. For bulk data scraping, reliable datacenter proxies work well if the site isn’t strict.

GEO targeting absolutely matters. Using IPs from specific regions like Russia, Brazil, or India helps match local behavior and reach the right audience, especially for targeted campaigns. Choosing the right proxy type and location is crucial for success.

For most multi-account setups, mobile proxies help reduce checkpoints, while residential proxies provide consistent long sessions with minimal issues

These are three different types of proxies, and the key is choosing the one that fits your needs. The geographic location should also be selected based on your specific business requirements.

For affiliate and ad campaigns, most people get the best stability from residential or mobile proxies, since they look like real users and trigger far fewer reviews or blocks. Datacenter IPs can work for basic tasks, but they’re much more likely to get flagged by ad networks. GEO absolutely matters — many offers and ad platforms heavily validate location, so using clean IPs from the correct country (whether Russia, Brazil, India, or any specific GEO) can directly affect approval rates, CTR, and account health.
