So I recently got a link from Huffington P0st, unfortunately the author decided to link 2 other sites at the same time. I was pretty annoyed to say the least, but that wasn't the last of my issues... the link is to a page of resources, which has about 20-30 outbound links that are all ********.

I did this basically to point all my links at one page, rather than linking to multiple research sites from various articles.

Anyway, to get the most of it what would you guys suggest?

Would adding nofollow to most or all of the OBL's have any effect? Or is it just a waste of time?

You already know it's waste of time. Just let it slide.

No I don't, that's why I'm asking. I'll see what happens over the next 2 weeks anyway, might point some PBN links at it or just blast the fuck out of it with spam if nothing happens.

Actually this is quite interesting. I don't think you "lose" link juice for having a load of OBL's on a page for your own site, however the sites that it links to get less and less juice spread to them. Will be interesting to find out.

Make all the links no-follow and link back to your homepage with a do follow. It's not great, but it's good for diversity, and you can send some juice back to the homepage.

How much did you pay for it? I bought a link from a similar site and the bellend linked to 4 of my competitors aswell (which is like the whole niche), fuck that I got half the money back.
Those sorts of links are junk for SEO, 1 half decent dedicated pbn site would do more. May be good SEO investment really long term (as in 10 yrs+) but seeing as it sounds like you use pbns etc your site will probably be tanked before that anyway.
You should buy them primarily for the traffic you get or not bother

Huff Post links aren't what they used to be. There are a lot of guys selling them and they usually do what you described... link 3 sites in one article to "disguise" that they got paid to link to you. That said it still has some value. You can power it up with T2 links, but be sure to not spam it. Create just 2-3 hidden PBN posts that are WELL HIDDEN and then blast those with T3 web2.0's and diversity links dripped for 2-3 weeks. This will squeeze the most from that shitty little Huff Post article. Then every 2 weeks you can drip a few share buttons to the article for a couple months and really squeeze the last juice from it. There is some risk in doing all this, but the potential reward is pretty decent.

I was thinking about trying to get a link in the future maybe not a good idea which other sites are good to link to?

None of the 100$+ links from big sites are worthwhile in terms of just ranking (imo), if you can buy a link for 1000$, make 800$+ back off of the traffic then maybe worthwhile like I said. Wouldn't buy them just for SEO benefit

Thanks for the suggestions. Lol @1morenoob , yeah I always take care to make sure services I use don't idiotically link to my competitors when they try to "diversify" their OBL's, it should be common sense. I was expecting only a link to my page considering I paid a good chunk of change for it. Fuck, I could have bought a few monster PBN domains for that much... oh well, atleast it has long term credibility links from atleast the huff an wikipedia, examiner etc. I believe these links can pass on trust to your domain, so when dumb fucks try to over SEO your site Google won't be so easily fooled.

I will be using the page as a parasite and just blasting a the shit out of it with PBN's from bhw and SAPE links if it doesn't move the needle. I will be extracting every bit of value I can from it.
