Things werent really pleasant lately, so I started looking for a job and planned that I will be rebuilding my online empire again, Ive got a job in a Logistics firm which deals with custom clearance , freight services, import licence broking etc in India, so anyone who requires any services in this in India let me know I've been hired to look after their online promotions and SEO, also to help them test some new softwares that they are getting made from some company, I am happy as now atleast I dont have to worry about the income fluctuation and I can work on my online campaigns. I would be really glad If I could get ideas on how I can improve their Adword ROI, although, I have convinced them to pay more attention on Social Media Presence and get an active website with regular updation of content, they are not very happy with the current ROI of adwords as they are spending too much.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Congratulations for your new job. I am surprised to hear that they are spending too much on their adword campaign, since logistics service is not something for which there are a lot of advertisers in India. I am doing SEO for a company who specialize in railway logistics & freight transportation- and there is hardly any other company focusing on SEO. I just performed the on-page SEO and the website is already ranking on page one for 6 out of 9 keywords. This was expected though, and so was the lack of relevant traffic and sales/business query even after gaining first page rankings. There are some niches where PPC/SEO would just not be the primary source of customer acquisition- since the prospects would not be using Search Engines to look out for service providers. That doesn't mean that they should not have an online presence, but it would only be an extension of their existing marketing channels. For adwords I recommend trying "remarketing". This would enable you to market the services to your prospects continually, and not just the first time when they visit your website. Also, search for same niche websites, blogs or forums, and see if they have adsense enabled. Then create a placement campaign targeting those websites exclusively. Study the "Search Query Report" and add all irrelevant keywords as -ve, and relevant ones as +ve. Also, try modified broad match if you are not already doing so. Good luck with your new job
Thanks Il surely do that, actually its been a long time since ive used adwords, so il have to get used 2 it again, btw I havent got the login details from them yet, I designed a promotional action plan yday and they loved it like anything, so I dont really know which keywords they were targetting through adwords, btw I dont think many people seach for exact technical terms related to freight and import charges etc on google, especially in India
congrats... how much they are paying? one company contacted me last month n their budget was 12k/month with unrealistic demands....lol
12k INR or USD??? I believe it'd be INR though Thats one draw-back of Offline SEO in India/Pak etc Congrats OP!
Theyr paying me 25K in hand, and since its not into mainstream SEO and IM , the work load is very low, and the best part is, its a 5 mins drive from my place .... I just wanna stick to this job unless I build and flip some nice profitable sites...
