Got a DR35 expired domain for $10

The website was a good quality blog on some topics before 2019. But in 2019 it seems someone spammed it like crazy.

It's not indexed but has 2.5k links with 170+ RD.

What's the likelihood of this being a possible money site or is it just not worth the effort?

The spammed part of this domain life included some Chinese content related to casinos and ads of the same niche

EDIT: doesn't seem like it's penalized by Google but I got it just today.. and it didn't seem like a PBN, more like a shit Ad website for casino niche

I'd not bet my money on this site due to the Chinese backlinks. It was used for PBN or for a niche that is perhaps illegal?
 
Atleast you spent only $10, upload some contents and check if google will index them

Okay yeah it's got 700 Chinese backlinks so that's one. But it also has a few links from some really brilliant domains and a few Wikipedia ******** backlinks

Haha yeah that's true.. It's not a big cost compared to GoDaddy auctions. But hey, would be fun if it works out fine
 
Don't bother with that site, when you see tons of chinese and japanese links, forget about it. I am seeing bunch of excellent former blogs on daily basis with high authority metrics, but also spammed like hell. I would never use it for a money site.

Any use for the site at all? Maybe a 301 or something.
 
You can use it for adult, CPA and casino niches. If nothing works, pharma is the last option. First of all, you need to make sure that it's not penalized by Google.
 
why bother with it, dude? It's only $10. Just throw some spun content and shitty backlinks at it, put a high paying affiliate offer and see what happens. If in 1 month the site is still dead just throw it away / let it expire
 
You will not find any high end, not even mid end domain by scraping in 2020. Every domain has been absolutely raped since 2012. Anything with RD30 - 40+ and clean, for free registration cost, is as good as it gets.

If there were decent domains to be found and if spammed stuff like this worked long term, the domain auction prices wouldn't be absolutely ridiculous.
 
At least it only cost $10, take that solace from this.
