Please help me to understand what you mean by "your own gateway". Do you mean faking the referrer? And can you recommend a safe place to find a free codebreaker script?

it means you use your own gateway lol....you'll be free to choose the cpa offers you can show to the visitors....faking referrer means you are hiding the traffic source of the visitor...search for a codebreaker here...you may find one..

This thread is kinda outdated, or at least the title is. The "tv/movie with gateway"-niche is very profitable. With a few high-ranking tv show sites you'll easily do a couple of hundred/day. I wrote this thread when I first got into the niche, and I make a lot more than $100/week now.

About gateways
You have a few choices here. If you're not doing anything illegal, I recommend you use a network like Perfecttracking, cp*a*le*ad, adscend media or instantdollarz. See my signature if you want to know which of them is best.

If you're doing something blackhat, on the other hand, you'll want to use your own gateway. A couple of examples are blackhat codebreaker (bhcb) and wpguardian. I've found that first page submits works best with this, but you gotta hide your traffic (fake referer), water it down with junk traffic AND get some legit leads as well. If you don't, you'll be banned.

Is this legal?
No. I recommend anonymous hosting and domains with fake information. If your sites gets big enough, they'll come after you.

I was/am looking for a definition of a gateway. A better way to ask it might be, "what is a gateway?"

From what I have read, it would seem to be the mechanism that leads to the offer page. So a gateway might simply be a web page with a text link to the CPA offer. Or it may be a codebreaker with links to various CPA offers. Am I right?

I actually did this, and with some twists it did great. Very custom, really nice looking site too.

But, I got pinged by Sony through my webhost provider so i had to take the sites offline. Until then, I was clearing more than 100 most days, sometimes much more. Even tho it was embedded and really hosted on other servers, I didn't need to push my luck.

i ended up using sidereel and someone else mainly for the traffic which worked out well when you were towards the top of the list.

How many videos should I have up on the site before I apply to adscendmedia? Should I throw some other banners on the site?

its almost impossible to get traffic using this method nowadays cause there are so many pirated links already that you would hardly ever be able to index a new site
