Anybody uses them to record their voice? Are they good? I found a cheap no-name Chinese one for $8 in my area, it doesn't have a foam cover, how's the sound quality on those?

I just bought a Chinese shotgun microphone and was not impressed with the sound quality. It was barely better than my DSLR's built-in microphone. You can't cut corners with microphones.
