Truth be told I've been lurking around the forum on several occasions but decided to join just now.
Some background information - senior software engineer(systems architect to be more specific) for a large gaming company, of the server part of the games - authentication, service location, game servers, messaging, multiplayer and all that jazz.
Skills: C, C++, Python, Erlang, Java(though I abhor Java), Bash, PHP(similar to Java), the major players in the SQL world, CouchDB, Mongo, linux is in my blood, currently studying Kotlin for android. A lot of experience with databases, distributed systems, cryptography and machine learning.
For what it's worth, I speak 3 languages and can get around 1 or 2 more.
Why am I here: work has been boring and I feel like I could use my knowledge around these parts.
