Google's searching delay

What's the minimum delay for google that is safe for repetitive searches ?

Really, nobody knows what's the safest delay ?

I've seen in most programs that a "3-5" second delay is standard for avoiding google's flags.

To be honest with you I haven't read or found anything that comes close to quantifying an appropriate delay for repeated Google searches. And surprisingly the Internet is kind of mum on the subject. You may have to experiment a bit to get an appropriate delay.

Why worry about it just use proxies. I'm assuming you don't have scrape box so my recommendation would be to think about buying that and using the public proxies if you can't afford anything else.

I find it also depends on the type of query you perform if it's just a standard search "search for this" you (my experience) can perform more searches before temporary locout than a query like inurl:search for this or intitle:search for this.

But proxies are fairly cheap and it's better than getting an IP ban even if it is temporary.
