Does anyone know what the recent (last few days) algo update is targeting? Please have the sense not to insult my intelligence by telling me 'only Google knows', or the usual 'you need quality content'. All our content is unique and quality and hav seen a sharp rise (more than normal) in SERPs in past couple of days.

Just wondering what Google is targeting?

If your site's ranking change does not mean it was an algo update. It does not seems to be anything looking at algoroo.com
 
Yes, there's always a rising in Rank and dropping of sites in Serp.
I really don't know what Google is using for their action this time around, but i guess everything is quality right now.

I noticed something similar too. Didn't make any changes at all, no updates, no new post, na-ada yet my pank ranked higher. All I have are quality content.
 
google did core algo update but that was in jan and they did adwords 4 ads update recently besides that there is no news of any other update
 
Some small movement for my main authority site, drop a few spots across a few keywords.

The most amazing thing is they reward spammy sites over my authority site, fml.
 
Its a bit rude that you asked such a silly question and then try and ban us from giving a silly answer.

There had not been any core algo changes recently.

Your SEO just sucks.
 
No changes in my network of sites as well. I don't think there is any Algo changes

Peeps - do yuo really think Google will say, hi SEOers, we have done this over the weekend? Get real!

We own 17 domains that 16 rank in the top 5 on the FIRST PAGE of google, even with the change over the weekend most have made A POSITIVE change, with 10 domains benefiting from spammy links and increasing to #1 from 3! Just looking for some insight from intelligent people, unfortunately I only found 2 in this thread and thanked them.

I guess the rest are wet behind the ears kids, in their moms garage pretending to know what they are doing...
