One thing I'll never understand is the Length of domain registration, especially on a 20 year old domain having no registration changes during that time. There has to be a cutoff for that. I understand the point, but how could it be one of the TOP ranking factors of a domain? Some people pay as they go or have it on automatic renewal etc. I can see it being a factor, but one of the TOP ranking factors? That doesn't make sense to me.

The BIGGEST thing I've noticed from this update:

    1) Anchor diversification is now do or die (at least in my experince). Gone are the days where you can get away with 25% of the anchor texts being your money keyword. Now you need to keep it to less then 8% ideally. Make that 8% from AUTHORITY links with high da/pa/pr. For the rest of the anchor texts include long tail keywords that use 75% of of your main keyword.

    Example:

Keyword = carpet cleaning los angeles ca

    Ratio:
8% is "carpet cleaning los angeles ca"

The rest should be like the following
"who does carpet cleaning in los angeles?"
    "los angeles carpet cleaning companies"
"coupon for carpet cleaning los angeles"
    "los angeles carpet cleaning reviews"
"learn more about carpet cleaning in la"

    2) DON'T use shitty spun content and don't blast it all at once. You will rank, but will get dinged within a week or two. The best practice is to make sure the spun content is HUMAN readable and includes media such as youtube videos and images. This applies to ALL tiers.

    3) diversify anchor texts on the tiers as well just as if you were targeting the money site.

Explain about Google Factors: Day 1:

    Domain Factors:

    1. Domain Age:
Matt Cutts states that: "the difference between a domain that's six months old verses one year ols is really not that big at all". In other words, they do use domain age... but it's not very important.

    2. Keyword Appears in Top Level Domain:
Doesn't give the boost that is used to but having your keyword in the domain still acts as relevancy signal.

    3. Keyword as First Word in Domain
SEOMoz's 2011 Search Engine Ranking Factors panelists agreed that a domain that starts with their target keyword has an edge over sites that either don't have the keyword in their domain or have the keyword in the middle or end of their domain.

    4. Domain Registration length:
A Google patent states: "Valuable domains are often paid for several years in advance, while doorway domains rarely are used for more than a year. Therefore, the date when a domain expires in the future can be used as a factor in predicting the legitimacy of a domain.

    5.Keyword in Subdomain Name:
SEOMoz'z panel also agreed that a keyword appearing in the subdomain boosts rank.
    You can check keywordABC[dot]com

    6. Domain History
A site with volatile ownership or several drops may tell Google to "reset" the site's history, negating links pointing to the domain.

Explain about Page - Level Factors: Day 2

    1. Keyword in Title Tag:
The title tag is a webpage's second most important piece of content [besides the content of the page] and therefore sends a strong relevancy signal.

    2. Title tag starts with Keyword:
Accordiong to SEOMoz data, title tag that starts with a keyword tend to perform better than title tag with the keyword towards the end of the tag.

    3. Keyword in Description Tag:
    Another important relevancy signal.

    4. Keyword Appears in the H1 Tag:
H1 tags are a "Second Title Tag" that sends another relevancy signal to Google, according to results from this correlation study.

    5. Keyword is Most Frequently used Phrase in Document:
Having a keyword appear more than any other likely acts as a relevancy signal.

    6. Content Length:
Content with more words can cover a wider breadth and are likely preferred to shorter superficial articles. Microsite Masters found that content length correlated with SERP position.

    7. Keyword Density:
Aithough not as important as it once was, keyword density is still something Google uses to determine the topic of a webpage. But going overboard can hurt you.

    8. Latent Semantic Indexing Keywords in Content (LSI):
LSI keywords help search engines extract meaning from words with more than one meaning (Apple the computer company vs. the fruit). The presence/absence of LSI probably also act as a content signal.

    9. LSI Keywords in Title & Description Tags:
As with webpage content, LSI keywords in page meta tags probably help Google discern between synonyms. May also act as a relevancy signal.

    10. Page Loading Speed via HTML:
Both Google and Bing use page loding speed as a ranking factor. Search engine spiders can estimate your site speed fairy accurately based on a page's code and filesize.

    11. Duplicate Content:
Identical content on the same site (even slightly modified) can negatively influence a site's search engine visibility.

    12. Rel-Canonical:
When used properly, use of this tag may prevent Google from considering pages duplicate content.

    13. Image Optimization:
Images on-page send search engines important relevancy signals through their file name, alt text, title, description and caption.

    14. Recency of Content Updates:
Google Caffeine Update favors recently updated content, especially for time-sensitive searches. Highlighting this factor's importance. Google shows the date of a page's last update for certain pages.

    15. Historical Updates Page Updates:
How often has the page been updated over time? Daily, weekly? Frequently of page update also play a role in freshness.

    16. Keyword Prominence:
Having a keyword appear in the first 100-words of a page's content appears to be a significant relevancy signal.

    17. Keyword in H2, H3 tags:
Having your keywords appear as a subheading in H2 or H3 format may be another weak relevancy signal. SEOMoz's panel agrees.

One thing that i noticed is.. .com/net/org ranks faster than country level domains.. Free domains(like cu.cc and co.vu) usually doesn't rank at all.
