This is the second recent post on the forum that I'm seeing promoting Bing especially in comparison to Google. When in reality Google is far better than Bing. Is this how Bing intends overtaking Google?

Search results on Bing aren't very reliable.

The reason there aren't as many spam sites on Bing results is because very few people use Bing, as a result less efforts go there. Another thing is, very little information is available on how to rank for Bing.

I, personally, use bing and I have no problem finding info.
It's unbelievable... I could never really rank on bing and you are right, there isn't much information on how to rank on bing. It's strange as Bing has the biggest presence in the US (compared to other countries, practically nobody uses Bing in India for example).

I've been paid by Microsoft to promote Bing. Gotta do my job honestly!

Google sometimes does these things mate , but the site would crash for sure , Google does not allow redirects over .

I used Bing for several months consecutively as my primary search engine and I got tired and fed up. With Google you're always likely going to get what you seek for on the first page if not the first few results. But with Bing sometimes you never get it or you have to play around with words.

By the way, I do think ranking on Bing is all about writing content and then praying to Satya Nadella.

But on a more serious note, ranking on Bing is 'easier' if you already have a presence on Bing search results. I noticed my sites that already get traffic from Bing find it easy ranking for new posts/keywords. What is actually harder is making it to number 1.

Before thinking about ranking on Bing, try write for the keywords that do in fact get impression on Bing. Some keywords on Google have no presence there so don't expect much from your existing Google-targeted content.

To get keywords from Bing, play around with the keyword research too found in the Bing webmaster tool.
