Googlebot constantly crawling my site

anyone seen something like this before - I have a site that only gets a handful of visits per day, and yet google seems to be crawling it non-stop - 1.5 million hits last month alone, from googlebot. And it’s using a constant 2-3mb bandwidth per second doing so.

Any explanation for this? Anyone seen it before?

Could it be some other bot masquerading as googlebot?

I checked and it was owned by google.

Sue them for DDOSing
