    Hi guys,

So I really want google to remove a url from one of my sites pages which doesn't exist anymore.

I tried to remove it using webmaster tools but it won't remove it.

I've also configured my robots.txt file to try and disallow it from being indexed.

It still remains in the site:mysite.com search.

Why won't they remove it and is there any other way this can be done?

it might take a few days to be deindexed

make sure that page is set to noindex in the robots file or better yet through your htaccess file

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

It's been a month since I altered my robots.txt file and asked them to remove the url and it still remains in the site:search

How would you deindex the Url using the the htaccess file?
