Google wont index domain.com/niche?

How come your not going for the exact domain of the niche??.. If the website is brand new, and the niche is competitive, then it may take a few days to get indexed, so just be patient and continue to build links

Agreed. We're all impatient Dude. Have you created many backlinks to the site?...Couple of backlinks, ping, done. I just did a new one and it took 3 days. Patience, my son.
Sometimes it takes indeed 3 days or more, one time it took 1 week. Granted I did not pushed that domain at all. otoh if you overdid the backlinks and blackhat stuff you might get the sandbox

make sure you use Google XML feed plugin and set up to update everyday/week. Even if a bot goes to your site it may not visit every page. Google XML plugin forces Google to be aware of all of your URLs
