Google won't crawl latest version of website?

Last Google crawl: Sep 24, 2020, I have submitted an index request through Google WMT a few times since Sep 24th through the URL Inspection tool. Why is my page being stubborn? The homepage was able to crawl the latest version just fine, and WMT reporting no issues as far as crawling from sitemap/robots, etc.

What could it be, has anyone ever experienced this?

yes, me

no re-crawls at all, on old pages

but new articles are indexing well

They have a major glitch for months, I think they try to stop spammers but they go to aggressive on criteria of indexing and recrawling so all it's messed up.

My crawling is also completely f**ked. I've got 15,000 pages waiting to be crawled, submitted via submaps but instead Google just keeps crawling old pages that I'm serving up 410 from again and again and again...

same here, URL is shown as indexed in GSC and not shown via site command...
shitty google messing up things for a while already

me too, i also using fetch as- feature it said my article indexed, but the index is not increasing at all. my new article around 18 article is not indexed by google.

Yes earlier it was one hour but now it’s days or months or who knows years

I have the same problem. Anyone advice why? When I submitted the Sitemap to Google search console, it says indexed. But when I run "Site:domainname" command, just about 1/10 or 1/20 links found on google? Pls help me to find out the problem.

Google is broken, don't obsessed with the index anymore, keep produce contents and forget it.
