Google isn't 'cloning' your website in the sense of stealing it. They were granted a patent for a system that could replace an advertiser's landing page with an AI-generated version if the original page is predicted to underperform for a specific user

Google doesn't steal or copy your website to use as their own. I think the patent only describes the ability of AI to create alternative landing pages for ads if the original page is predicted to perform poorly.

As far as I know Google is doing this from the very early age. There copying our website and creating a mirror in their database. Isn't that a old thing?

Technically yes. But the conversation has shifted because AI now generates from that copy instead of just linking to it

Interesting development. If implemented, it could make content originality and strong branding even more important, since Google-generated pages might compete with your own site in SERPs.
