Guys,

https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dashboard

I can't stress this enough. For the best exposure to google, you should have your site/sites/blogs/whatever listed in Google Webmaster Tools.

You should also have a sitemap for your sites (if you're using WP, you can get the Google XML Sitemaps plugin), and make sure you submit the link to GWT.

This will get you indexed and reindexed with precision.

This is also especially useful if you have a site with a lot of content that was never indexed, the sitemap will tell google all the pages throughout the site.

While I'm at it, you should submit your sitemap to the other sitemap directories, too. Check out http://www.seo-expert-services.co.uk/blog/posts/submit-sitemap-to-msn,-google-and-yahoo.html for more information on this.

I agree that this is pretty important although I have yet to get one of my de-indexed sites back in the good graces of Google even with webmaster tools all updated. It is always a good idea to make sure you are doing this though.

I have installed XML sitemaps plugin for my website, Is this enough?? Or i have to edit anything with that.

MSN also has a similar service too. They are all very good for getting quality links.

From my personal expirence having a site added to your WMT doesn't effect the site's indexing and ranking at all.

If you're on Wordpress you can use the Google XML Sitemap plugin.

Ok since this has been bumped, I suggest adding the sitemap to Bing webmaster tools too to get indexed in Bing and Yahoo search engines.

Google index ur website rather you web has sitemap or not but it is a good practice that you have a sitemap.
