Google webmaster tools: Target specific country?

I have a website which is mainly monetized with incentive CPA, most of the valuable leads (1$ for simple email submits) are only offered to US users.


I get about 35% US traffic and 80% of my revenue comes from US leads.

Should i change my webmaster settings to target US in order to achieve better rankings for google.com? i'm not sure if i should because i still get 20% revenue from international traffic, would it be wise for me to target US? all my keywords are in top 8 but i'd like them to be on top 3.


Assuming i do it and regret my decision, will i be able to reverse the procedure or will i just lose my rankings?

If you want to target US local, I will suggest you should be change webmaster tool setting then check it?s results, if you are satisfy with results then go with still setting don?t change it. However, you ?offered to US users? so change it webmaster tool setting that?s important.

I think you should target US from webmaster location as all your offers are for US users only. So changing setting from webmaster tool will help you to track traffics.
