Hi, I have a question about backlinks. I made an 11-hub link wheel a few weeks ago for a niche site using a keyword-based domain. I did a random link order and didn't close the linkwheel. I social bookmarked each linkwheel hub on Digg, Stumble, Delicious, Reddit, Mixx, and Diigo.

Today, I checked Google Webmaster Tools and only see 1 backlink which is Hubpages.

Any idea why I'm not seeing them all?

Google webmaster tools doesn't show everything plus it takes a while for backlinks to be indexed and show up. Try using some different tools to check your backlinks.

Google is decidedly lacking when it comes to showing backlinks. Yahoo site explorer is a better option though it's good to bear in mind that not all links will show no matter what tool you use to check.

Yep, whilst you'll find a lot of them in Webmaster Tools you'll never see all of them. It's not overly important how many you can find, anyway.

In fact, I can't even remember the last time I checked the backlinks of any of my sites.

Check your backlinks with SEO Spyglass - it will give you a much more comprehensive picture of your backlinks than any other tool.

I agree TerryKyle spyglass is very powerful and theres a free version available but I think it only lets you see about 50 links
