Obviously if a link appears in your "links to your site" list within the Google webmaster tools, then you got credit for the link. (and others which aren't listed, fine.)
I notice that the latest dates for "when last found" on the list stop (at the moment) on June 2nd. I've created plenty of backlinks since June 2nd, but I guess I gotta wait.
Boy, Google is really being cagey with it's data on you, aren't they? Does Google tally it's data in spurts and not on a daily basis? If you have too many links in one update cycle, you're gonna get penalized?
If this is the case, then it's not how many links you get per day, but if you keep within it's quota?
Anyone know if Yahoo updates and reports on a more frequent basis?
