google webmaster tools has a bug?

When I look in the Top search queries of google webmaster tools I see that the rank's of my search terms are a total makeup.

It says rank in the first page (top 10 results) for at least 10 phrases in there, but I can't find them anywhere when searching using google.com

What's up with that?

What goelocation are you searching from, and where's your site optimised for.

Could that be the reason? If so, try &gl=xxx in the query.

looking in google.com, targeting US, website in the US

Log out of your google account and your search results may come up different

i don't know how the webmaster tool sees your website but it happens to me also ...
i rank 20 for "bedroom furniture" with my autoblog but when i check it with geoseo it doesn't even rank for this keyword, i'm not even ranked,none ... so wtf ... i just check the webmaster tool for niches opportunities ...

While inside webmaster tools you need to change the selections on the right side of the screen. Where it says "Show: All Searches | All Google Domains | January" you might find that although you're page 1 for 'air conditioning' in 'google.br' for 'January' you aren't anywhere else.

It will show you the top performing keywords but it doesn't automatically tell you the specifics behind each keyword.

I've read in several webmaster forums that the numbers shown as search engine positions might be future rankings.

They claim that some time filters are not applied on these results in WMT therefore it allows you to see where could you rank in the future
