Google Webmaster Tools ---Avoid it!!

Hi There Guys,

I agree with that theory. They can always use webmaster tools and analytics as to fight those spam or any other sites that does not meet their guidelines but I don't really think that it may affect your marketing website if only you have come to follow their guidelines.

You may have a greater explanation with this theory.

"Use them wisely or can be used back against you"

Yeah. Don't use their f*cking analytics as well. Got more than 300K pages deindexed over night, right after I added analytics code on them.

Really! Are you sure its because of this? Because if this is true, then this means it takes traffic into equation which they say they dont!

As for Google Webmaster Tools, I would like to clarify for everyone that you should only avoid adding multiple accounts on it :) otherwise if its just one account, it wont cause a problem. However them using Webmaster tools to sandbox all of the websites of a particular user is quite common. Just hit the search button on this website and you will find lot of horror stories!

You really do not get it do you? Using GWT say to Google "Oh by the way, here are all my other websites, slap these whilst you are at it". It has nothing to do with the fact that the site would or would not have been slapped in the first place, it is more to do with the fact that they can take down all your sites in one easy move.

Exactly!

They don't need your webmaster account to see your statistics and if you are spamming. They own the whole search engine!

I had in my webmasters account 6 client sites and just 1 from my private blog network. When the big blog network deindexation occured 1 year ago, just that 1 blog got deindexed. My client's sites were safe and secure and they did not even lose rankings.

Also another blog from my network that did not even had webmaster tools got deindexed...

Yes you could have been lucky. But there are so many other who have faced a similar as that of OP. I think they also have a manual review. I remember one SEO expert telling me that sometimes they do manually review stuff and well then its most likely to get each and every site of yours (from the same account of Google Webmasters) may get penalized.

But the things that interests me most here is the comment above that says that by adding just GA, he had to suffer. This is something I never heard earlier!

my 2 most succesful websites are the ones that dont have WMT account

Having your site in google webmaster tools is like being dipped in meat sauce and being surrounded by a pack of hungry wolves. Getting you is now that much easier and tastier.

Yes. It's a true story, indeed. They use them more then spy activities then help you. Also forget about Chrome and Other google products if you want to stay out of a trouble.

As per my own experience. Google wmt must be avoided. It provides very useful information but if you have many sites on it and if ever one of them get penalty, there is a big chance that your other sites will be penalised too.

I had 2 websites which got unnatural links penalty. The next few days 5 more websites which were like "parked" only, not yet launched got unnatural links penalty. These 5 websites had 0 backlinks (as per ahrefs or google wmt ink tool). How can you explain that? The answer for me is that they generally blacklist you (the owner) and your sites once you get a penalty. Every time my new websites hit no 1 in serp for some decent traffic, after a few weeks they hit the site with thin content or unnatural links penalty.

If you do not have problem with wmt thats very nice. but for me it is a definite NO NO. One site per account will be fine.

And also try to be polite when sending reconsideration request, the G employees like to play GOD. and nobody should argue with these gods.

All Google Webmaster Tools does is share data with you that Google already knows, whether you sign up to use webmaster tools or not is irrelevant.

Where the OP went wrong is leaving a footprint by having multiple sites under 1 account. That was a bad decision from the off and not Google Webmaster Tools fault.

Agree with op. Do not use google tools if you do blackhat. Among these tools are Google Analytics, Google Adsence (do not put it on BH sites!), GWT, google DNS servers. They all help to track you.

Good advice is to avoid ALL Google products and services. They combine the data from all their resources and definitely don't use it to help others make money. Google uses the data in such a way that will route more internet marketing dollars into their bank accounts from our wallets. That's the only way Google can maintain growth as the internet is not growing quickly enough to sustain Google's appetite for growth.

Plus if you use a similar strategy for backlinking all your sites and all these sites are in the same GWT account this could have probably gotten all of your sites penalized.

if u use gwt or not, they are gonna find it.. they are pretty good in that.. believe me. :)

any sane internet marketer, who have little bit brain in there upper portion of body, know that adding all your websites under one Webmaster tools account is a bad idea.

We all make mistakes, dont let harsh words of others get you down mate.
Just learn from it, the path to where you want to be is full of lessons, this is just one of them.

You cant succeed if you dont learn.

i agree.
alright bro, next time i will be careful.thanks

After I realized what all google knows about us, when I was trying to get a new identity adwords account, I stopped using everything that google owns immediately. They still know too much, but there is no need to help them to reveal everything. There is no privacy online anyway, but using google products, its like screaming everything you do or say on the street.
