Google want to change ranking ranking method from the current system based on links to one based on the trustworthiness of a webpage. http://www.newscientist.com/article...es-based-on-facts-not-links.html#.VPOxi-FhzrU Google wants to use the knowledge base that it has compiled via crawling to rate sites based on how accurate the information is when compared to the information in its knowledge base. The formula's that Google would use are not that complicated, but if your math is not strong, you may not want to read the research paper at http://arxiv.org/pdf/1502.03519v1.pdf .
I see the method that Google is looking into as being easier to game than the current method because the trustworthiness is based on information that Google already has. This appears to mean that if you look into a topic and find accurate information regarding the product you wish to push, then by comparing that product to the chemical formula, or sociologically/psychologically based facts then that page will rise.
