Google voice PROBLEMS no SOUND?

OK i was breaking my balls since yesterday to get real usa sim to get google voice,yeah nice i finally go it. Jesus this was like a torture. So now once I have the damn number,speakers and mic is working when I press test but when I receive call I GET NO FREAKING SOUND,WHAT THE HECK? Seriously? I remember I used google voice 10 years ago and there was no problems and now I cant even hear a damn thing someone is calling me. Im total mental breakdown after this crap. I use web version,looks like nor in android or ios there is google voice app in my country. Anyone went through this crap?

First you need to enter the Google Voice setting then after turning on the specific setting you will be able to talk to USA and Canada numbers with Google Voice.

  • Ensure your speakers/headphones are not muted or set to low volume.
  • If using a headset, unplug and reconnect it.
  • Try a different audio device (e.g., switch from speakers to headphones).
 
Are you sure it is not a browser issue. Maybe try switching to Chrome or maybe turning off any extensions that could be messing with the sound, mate.
 
Dude, that sounds brutal. I had similar issues with Google Voice a while back, have you checked your browser permissions for mic/speakers?

Great idea! Changing to Chrome or turning off extensions can surely assist in debugging the sound problem. It's always a good move to eliminate browser issues first before venturing into more advanced technical solutions. Appreciate it, bro!

you check during installation, sometimes you have checked speaker and mic fully no problem but sometimes there is still problem in other factors, machine access can be reset and not allowed to access the above tools

Try GV in incog window, clear cache, recheck mic and spkr perm in browser. Use Chrome. Also check Hangouts not interfering. If still no sound, try diff browser or VPN location. GV bugs hard sometimes outside US.
 
Yeah, I had a similar issue once. It turned out to be a browser permission problem had to recheck mic/speaker access and clear cache, then it worked fine.

I got my Google voice number set up last week and having the exact same sound issue. Really thought it was just my setup but glad to know others are facing this too.
