I think Google voice is blocked by Twitter. I had the same issue on Google Voice but with Voice call instead of a SMS. Have a look at smspva or similar sites, it works well
the obvious advantage of google voice is you can reuse forever and get voice calls. smspva does not have voice to text . was working just fine 1-2 days ago
