Google v Yahoo v Bing algos

So I've been reviewing the May statistics for my main site. It seems that my search engine traffic is this:

85% Google
8% Bing
7% Yahoo

This seems about right for their respective shares of the search engine market. So what I am wondering is how to increase those percentages a little bit.

Is there anybody who has found techniques that work for the lesser two compared to Google? Obviously I don't want to do anything to lose my spots on Google, but if I can work something in that would be great.

Anybody else have a ratio that is different than this?

Bing and Yahoo have the same or very similar algo since they merged. Bing and yahoo do not care about spam, link schemes, and etc. I don't think they have a sandbox either which is why they fail. The top ranking sites are the ones that are just pure spam.

I've been targeting less competitive keywords with my sub pages and that's where I get most of my traffic.

My homepage I am using to try to rank for a more competitive keyword that I have been slowly climbing.

So my main keyword:

Google: 7
Bing: 15
Yahoo: 17

So it looks like I am lagging with Bing and Yahoo. I've been told that they are both pretty much the same, but they are always a little different for my sites.

Well when you rank your keywords both at around the same position, then judge, because bing and yahoo are on pg 2, which is obviously a huge difference.

As far as Im aware Bing uses the Yahoo Directory, but it's search results are actually deteremined by a different algorithm.

Bing determines the value of a site by the percentage of clicks they get for certain clicks. Google determines the value of a site by a 'super secret' but totally 'imaprtial' algorithm they pull out of their ass and change every few months...

Now the interesting thing about this from my point of view, is it CLEARLY makes sense to start optimising for Bing now because its market share is increasing slowly but surely (Seriously, I never thought it would even get up to 2% lol), it's a better system on paper (Anyone who has to use Google for actual research will tell you it's next to useless these days...), and work you do on it now will pay dividends in the future when Johny come latelys try and optimse themselves for Bing

Well that's what I'm wondering about. I've noticed that sites I put a lot of work into rank high on google but less on yahoo/bing. But then little sites that I don't care too much about don't do well on google but climb ridiculously fast on yahoo/bing.

Something strange happening to my websites. I have two websites ranking in google for the same keyword at #1 and #6. In bing #3 and #6. At least one month ago I was all over the first page in yahoo but when I checked now, my websites are gone from yahoo.
Did yahoo implemented a sandbox of some kind lately?

Bing and yahoo are pretty crappy. You can just xrumer your way to number 1. This technique is so 5 years ago. If my page is on page 1 in google with decent amount of backlinks, I just spam it xrumer so that my bing / yahoo serps go up.

Bing and Yahoo can't even handle 301 correctly.
