I did not see any unusual movement in my SERPs. Do you know for sure that a BIG G update is going on?

I was hit last Tuesday March 3rd.
My daily stats is at least 900 UVs per day then dropped to just 140+ UVs per day. It has affected my site so much that I can't find most of my urls in the serps where I was dominating for such big competition keywords. Most of my traffic are social media driven and I'm thinking Google is cooking something to hit websites driven heavily by youtube/facebook/twitter/g plus etc.
I'm not very sure yet as I have not done any stupid link building lately so it is safe to say that link building isn't the factor why my ranking dropped. Unfortunately, I am losing traffic from google au, ca, us, co.uk, jp primarily. Bing and yahoo traffic seems stable for the past 8 days.
Any recommendations in mind to pull back my kw rankings?
