There was no official statement about this, but a lot of people including me have experienced a huge change in SERPs.

If any of you don't like a thread just flip open your BHW pages and move on. The thread will not be bumped and you won't see it again. There are moddys here to delete any unwanted thread, there is no point exchanging words.

I beg to differ. Try a 45 year old brick and mortar business with an A+ rating/accredited business status at the better business bureau, top ratings on angies list and links from a variety of industry specific fortune 500 companies and the site still sits on page 5. The site is structurally sound with plenty of extremely high quality information you would expect from a well established business that leads their industry on a regional level. So why does it sit on page 5? I'll tell you why. Google is monetizing the hell out of the keywords the site used to rank for. Fucking Wikipedia listings are even appearing in 100% buyer keyword queries as well. Domain crowding from angies list consumes nearly half the listings between page 1 and 5.

I don't give a shit what you do to improve this site. It will never rank above paid listings which now consume half the first page. You can SEO your ass off, but unless you pay for Adwords you will not be above the fold where the bulk of search traffic originates from on this specific site. And no matter what you do to the site, it will not fix a fucking broken algorithm that gives nearly 20% of the top 100 search listings to one company.

Keep in mind that I am not talking about an affiliate site but a website that supports a real business with real employees that have been with the company for decades. These employees rely on the company's success not just for a paycheck, but to pay for health insurance for their families. And some of the employees have dependents with real medical issues that need constant medical care. These careers and the company's survival are now in jeopardy because Google wants to eliminate organic search and drive their profits higher.

Keep on preaching your propaganda. Because those in the know understand that many websites are losing their ranks due to an aggressive profit driven company that sees all webmasters and websites as their competition. The sooner you realize that Google treats you as a competitor, the sooner you can develop effective strategies that won't leave you out in the cold when Google comes around to steal your niche. Because Google will come to takeover your niche and pocket as much money as they can from it.
