Right from the day Google started, there have been updates regularly. When will they "finish" their updates ? NEVER. They will keep releasing updates, because updates are critical to the functionality of Google. Just like how you have updates for various softwares for example, they will keep releasing updates, so that there is contentious functionality.

About 8 or so years ago, I remember asking myself this very question. Google is always creating, innovating, troubleshooting, and enhancing. Google updates will continue for as long as Google remains. Don't depend on Google to get worse. Depend on yourself to get better.
