Google Update rolling out or just some regular movement? First big signs

Hi,

today I see mayor ranking changes across a lot of search queries.

Mayor ranking changes mean that the whole top20 of search queries with more than 50K monthly searches got totally changed since yesterday.
On a lot of search queries I only see one page holding the same positions.

Do you see the same?

But: I also do still see a lot of unchanged Google SERPs

This could be the first signs of Penguin 4.0 rolling out. Would be interesting to see your observations.

Right now when I check some bigger keywords compared to yesterday like every 10th has totally different results, rest stayed the same.

If there will be more movement it could be a bigger update. Or its just some regular algo changes running.


Seing changes in Google.de and Google.com



Something more I observed: From today on a lot of search queries that used to not show local rankings now do show a lot of local rankings in the SERPs. Tested from different locations.

Haven't seen anything change yet for any of my sites.
 
Serp watch and others are still not showing a lot of movement. As I do see those heavy movements on some specific niches it could be the beginning of a major update - or just some normal movement.

But with seing a lot of page 1 SERPs changing totally compared to yesterday this could be a big sign for Penguin 4.0 finally coming.

just because you see movements doesn't mean an update is being rolled out.

Yes I do know that algoroo, serp watch etc. do not show movements today.

As I am seing those movements since the morning and not before this could be some realy fresh movements. So we could see tomorrow.

As I wrote on the thread title: This is a question: Do you also see a lot of movements?

If not as already mentioned by me in the opening thread this could only be some more heavy regular movements.
 
I've pretty much given up on Penguin. Haven't really seen much movement other than usual +-1-2 on my keywords

No movements.Stable here.
 
some of the niches I"m following are bouncing around like crazy. Others, I'm seeing nothing at all.
 
Which niches you see big movements, in which not?

For Germany.de I can say:

-> Home&Garden heavy movements 9/10
-> Fashion Big movements 7/10
-> Health no movements 1/10
