Not sure if everyone has read the recent news, but I find it funny not only on here but other places as well the same reactions 
"SEO is dead", "nothing really matters"
Were just a few of the reactions I've seen in the industry following Google's announcement to deprecate some of their old ranking systems.
Well, sorry to disappoint but Google have announced that SEO is alive and well, and page experience matters more than ever. They've just made changes to their ranking *systems* not *signals* i.e. as usual, to become better at evaluating these metrics.
Not everything is about scores and tools.
Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. That's how you get ahead in the game and that's how it should be imo. Work harder than anyone else.
