Has there been any Google updates in the past 3/4 days that anyone is aware of? A large number of my keywords have made big gains in the past few days. Some were ranking in positions 100+, now they are ranking 40 or better. Anyone noticed the same?

Yes, there was some discussion, I believe on either last Wednesday or Thursday that some webmasters were reporting a big swing in the Google SERP's. But not everyone could confirm this. Take a look at http://www.seroundtable.com/google-shuffle-possible-15583.html

Possibly G preparing something interesting (well known big penguin update coming? ) - ranks dancing from few days

lets hope the positive movements happen for everyone and that they stick! this is the first major positive movements to this particular site ever since penguin hit. almost gave up on it

Let's wait and see what google have planned now. I hope that there won't be major drops on the rankings like when penguin hit. I haven't been hit but I don't like the negativism around BHW around the "SEO death" lol

Curiously, my CB acct has been $200+ for the past 2 days... Haven't seen that since Penguin, so guessing I had some increases.

One of my sites increased they rankings, back to #2 position and making like 3-5€ per day.

But most of sites still on a deep hole on rankings.

I'm seeing some upward movement as well. Maybe Google finally realized that penalizing quality sites for trying to rank actually caused the shit rise to the top of the toilet?

for people seeing positive ranking changes what did you do if anything to your site that may have helped its rankings? I didn't do anything on-page but I removed a few web 2.0 and article links. thats all

Nothing onpage at all. Just building a limited number of good quality links from private one off sales (no networks or public link sales atm).

Went thru each page of the site looking for problems, tightened up some sloppy linking, broken ones, cleaned up a few title tags, always adding content so it may have had an influence. Dropped a few h2 tags on shorter pages.
