Hi one of my website of saas company lisitng has lost it ranking in major keywords like accounting software, hr software etc. Does the update has bug in it waat we can do for regaining our previous position

so any suggestion for on page chages as we have updated the meta or we can just rely on link building

YOu should always try to improve any aspect of your website that you feel will be beneficial to rankings, but this particular update, from what Google spits through its teeth, is spam backlink profile oriented.

It's not a bug. People keep losing ranks after every major update. That's how SEO works.

ok i need to wait for some times as ranks are flutuating a lot in couple of hours

Nothing is really clear with the google updates nowadays,
back in days, the required changes were just so clear that you could everything up in a couple of hours/days,
today, you'll have to basically make sure everything is well set up (especially on-page wise) and focus only on high-quality links that won't make you fall just with the next update
