Google Update Again..?

The funny thing with that source is that it quoted a BHW thread as a source of the rumor :)

Personally, I don't like sape! I have ordered it for one of my site and after the middle of my subscription, I asked the seller here in BHW to remove the links they have created in sape network (thats how is dislike the link)

Although the link from sape has been removed before this update, that site was not penalized and still ranked on page 1 and one minor keyword ranked#1.

On the other hand, The one site that is penalized has never seen links from sape and actually never seen a link from any russian website.

This thing today can be an offsite thing ( not sure) but I'm 100% sure that its not about just sape.

I agree that little graph thing thats going round from Google states they're targeting all types of "spammy" links/linking networks...

My Top Site was shooting out... (with only about 20 Links, but all Links were good ones (100% white hat))... dont know why.

My site traffic drops by 70% after 6 March. I am 100% sure there was update.

I had a server problem recently, for every 100 visitors 25-30 of them had 00:00:00 time on site because the site wasnt loading for 2 months, i see now that i went from 2 to 66 and from 4 to 80 for my keywords, so i am guessing this:

According to my stats, this looks more like on-site update. G is now taking more care of visitors. Bounce percentage, time on site, aggressive mouse movements, back to search, etc...

Be honest guys, is there any future for SEO?

For the short term, yes, SEO has a future. But Google has shown a desire to monetize anything they possibly can. I would not expect the first page of the SERPS to continue displaying organic results forever. Particularly in those niches where competition is abundant, expect the first page of the SERPS to contain only paid listings sometime in the not too distant future.

I think it is an on-site update. Yesterday I checked one of my websites and I found that I have two meta description tags on all pages (one created by yoast plugin and the other created by my wp theme). Could this be the reason why my traffic dropped to the half after 3/6/2013.

Who cares if there's an update lol.. do your job and let them do what they wish to...

My traffic also drop 70%, and i have good site, all good written contents, Links around 25. all high quality links, no web2.0, low quality crap.
I hope it will be dance.
on same pattern i have more 3 or 4 sites, those not drop, even improve traffic.

i don't what's going on with google. Hope its just some test from google.
On site fine, off site fine. yes i really try my best to figure out, but confuse, what to do??? as nothing seems to fix.

I think also that it is an on-site update as my site was broken for few hours when the update occurred, all my plugins (WP) were deactivated for some reasons.

All my site using SAPE lost between 20 and 60 spots yesterday :-/ Time to find something else I guess ...

I'm getting better traffic to all my English sites, however for all my dutch sites I notice no changes. The weird thing is that allot of my keywords have changed in serp on the online serp checkers which use US proxies, when I approach google.nl from a dutch ip I still see the normal, old situation. Are updates usually applied first for US visitors? I hope so as lots of my keywords rank on page 1 from us proxies.

It happened on march 6. Lots of traffic down. It only affected my sites which I increased their backlinks. Hmm...

Probably it's on site update yes. My site that dropped was without links so it's not about that. The night before the update I made some on page changes just to test something and apparently google didn't like them, what a coincidence that the update rolled on the same time, but now I changed it back so I hope when they run that again I will have my previous rankings.

So can we confirm it is an update? I mean every-time someone drops a rank or two they scream update.

yes its confirm a update. I also feel its on site update. i do posts and interlink with ranked posts. is this bad?
posts are relevant and helpful. doing old post update with new links in it to new posts can cause penalty?

30% drop in traffic on one site, two articles that were ranking on page one gone. Did have some notifications in webmaster tools that I hadn't taken care of though.

Site was whitehat, haven't built any links bar the odd tweet. See what happens when this settles and i take care of the WMT notifications.
