google trends traffic question

how much traffic can i expect if for example i rank number 1 for 2-3 google trend top 10 keywords?

I'm very interested in this as well. I've ranked a few properties well for google trends but have yet to see significant traffic. (The most I've gotten was about 400 views)

Obviously all of the trends have a big spike in traffic, but how many views/day are these trends getting? Is there any way to tell?

For example, is going from 0 to 1000 searches a day enough to classify as 'volcanic'? or 0-10,000? more?

Trending well at a point in time != traffic

It's like thinking the best singer will win on american idol... No... the best never wins... The best singer will sell records anyway. They want to make an extra star by letting the number 2 or 3 take the award. That's good business. Trends is focused on "newness". What has the highest delta in volume that is still considered new... from trusted sources. It is looking for water cooler topics... not biggest searches.

plus... competing on those words is like competing with online news...

Create a website about video game cheat codes... you'll do a lot better... competition much less fierce and clickers not looking for brand name.

i just want to have an idea from those who already did. so i can decide if its worth the trouble. and also if i will be able to monetize it.

Yeah, I get what you mean. But it varies so much and people on here, although usually extremely helpful, don't tend to give away such exact information.

I think you could get thousands of visits a day, but that's very hard to do!
