I wouldnt use Google translate for this. It isn't built for nuanced translation
We use Chatgpt with good prompting to catch the cultural references, slangs, etc and so far it is doing very good + cheap

Google Translate is very effective for major European languages in 2025, but for a 1,500-word project, your strategy of "small sentences at a time" is actually not the best approach.

Yes, Google Translate might be effective at translating short sentences. But translating 1500 words at once in a European language could be inefficient, and it's likely to have translation errors.
