Can Google detect if content is copied using translate from french to english for example and mark it A's bad content??:)

yes, i got 1 article translated from english to polish and posted on my spam blog.

If you do not change anything( mistakes, errors, some words), and stupidly enough use google translate or baidu translate, than more than surely, you will get in trouble for duplicate content.

I guess google somehow "stores" the translations it does.

I think the best way, is to translate and proof read, dont live like that, because is too gibberish and probabily will not rank, either.

Taking risk with translating contents then rewrite the articles into meaningful ones.. This will seems to be Okay as of now but if Google made further update for translating articles then you will get penalized. Think of it :)

So, making 100% handwritten articles are only best way.. You don't need to be worries for the further Google Updates :)

Thanks,
Bart

My opinion is yes if you do this on the same domain and also if you have pages geo-located to the same country, but if you do this on different country domains. ex: mysite in US (located to Google US) and mysite located in france (located to Google FR) and mysite locaded in poland (located to Google PL) There is no problem. Google will then not see it as duplicate content. BUT a little warning.. Do not cross link them between each other.

Its because I bought a really sick domain with so strong backlinks from big autority and government websites that every single article I post get on page 1 or 2. Page 3 if its not relevant at all.

Anyway I figured out if I had around 100 articles, and just SEO optimized them to certain words I'll get easily more than 1000 visitors a day which is a few penies worth.

I guess I will be using Google Translate, SEO optimize them to certain search terms, make them readable, grammar check and publish - Must be worth the effort.

It safe.. I am building an authority site too right now. Got about 25 keyword targetted pages but I keep posting short (200-300 words) "news" articles which I translate from a site in my native language to increase the overall content. Copy, paste in google translate and edit it till it's perfectly understandable english. You'll be fine. In the end all content is rewritten, translated or whatever you want. It's how you use it what makes the difference
