My client runs a webstore and, historically, Google has accounted for well-over 50% of traffic, however, over the course of the last month or so, it has dropped off considerably, as my clients website is getting more hits via Bing than Google (Bing has remained steady in traffic).

This is not done. Is this happening to anyone else? Any idea why?

Thanks In Advance !

Check your clients backlinks, that's what's causing a majority of issues these days.

Also be sure to take a look into Webmaster tools to determine if there's a manual penalty as there's been quite a few roll outs over the past month of various types of penalties.

I guess this may be a penalty, because as you are saying it happened suddenly, It may be because of some bad links, check out each and every backlinks to your client's site, and see if there are any link which got penalty by google, instantly make them no-follow and then just wait for sometime, your site will get good SERP's in 1 or 2 months...

And my BHW background color is white, so I could easily see OP's first post very clearly...lol!
